Black Shibori Obiage

Black silk vintage shibori obiage. Perfect to be worn as a neck scarf or head wrap, this obiage has a simple diagonal monochromatic tie-dye pattern that gives it some stretch.

The obiage is created from a silk rinzu (damask) with a woven hishimon or diamond pattern with a simple flower motif at regular intervals. 

An obiage is a scarf-like obi accessory that is worn with a full width obi for ceremonial wear.
