Antique silk kimono jacket (michiyuki) featuring a geometric bundobishi pattern created with the traditional Japanese craft of shibori, an intricate form of tie-dye.
An attractive one-of-a kind design in two shades of olive green with a white printed silk lining. A michiyuki is traditional three-quarter length kimono-style travelling jacket. It is designed with a low square neckline to show off the kimono underneath and has a double-breasted front opening that closes with snap fasteners with decorative self-covered buttons
Please note this is a vintage piece which has light-coloured starch spots on the silk lining & some faint starch spots on the right front, but it is wearable for those that can appreciate its vintage nature.
