An dark grey rinzu vintage silk komonkimono decorated with a contemporary scattered nori design reminiscent of distant stars in the night sky.
The kimono has a densely speckled pattern in pale pink and pistachio on an anthracite grey rinzu (damask) fabric which has a woven bamboo leaf pattern. The speckled pattern resembles the surface ofnoriseaweed sheets that are used to wrapsushi. The kimono has an off-white silk inner and terracotta silk hakkake(the inner cuff and hem of the lining)
Komon, literally ko (small) mon (pattern) are casual kimono worn for going out or casual gatherings that often have a small all-over print, but may also have stripes, checks or larger all over patterns.
