Mount Fuji is the most iconic of Japan's sacred mountains and became popular as a motif in the Edo era. In Japanese culture the dragon symbolizes wealth and power & is used as a symbol of Spring.This100% silk crepe juban with pale grey silk lining is in very good vintage condition with a small smudge mark on the front left lapel.

Shibori is a traditional manual resist dyeing technique in which tiny sections of light-weight silk are bound with thread to produce the design before dyeing. Learn more about the art of shibori here
