Black Treasure Box Rinzu Haori

Formal black vintage silk haori with a single mon (crest).

A crisp black rinzu (damask) silk with a woven treasure box motif  on a cracked-ice pattern background and a single paulownia mon on the back. The haori is lined with an off-white silk decorated with detailed chrysanthemum flowers and fastened with hand-braided white silk ties.

Rinzu is a silk damask fabric in which a subtle, repeat satin pattern is woven onto a matte background. This would work perfectly as a glamorous evening cover-up, but equally well with a knee-length pencil skirt for work-wear.
