Thiskomon (small print) kimono has a modern take on the traditional Japanese motif with broken lines describing a swirling stream with white and red fireflies hovering above. The kimono has an white silk inner and maroon silk hakkake (the inner cuff and hem of the lining).
Chirimen is a heavy silk crepe with a faint crinkled uneven texture. Chirimen fabric drapes beautifully and is difficult to crease which makes it popular in kimono making.
