Wool Kasuri Swallows

A vintage wool haori with a woven kasuri design featuring swallows.

It ties with cerise woven silk himo ties and has a pale peach silk lining printed with white bamboo leaves and orange acer leaves. Kasuri patterns often have a blurred or hazy look created by the way the fabric is made. For more about kasuri see here.

This pre-loved vintage piece has some very tiny starch spots in amongst the print on the lining which is part of its vintage nature, but overall it is in excellent condition and suitable for wearing.
